Arab Tua Tidak Berguna

Manusia pasti pernah merasa tidak rela , merasa paling tidak beruntung , merasa bahwa hidup ini tidak adil , merasa tidak bisa mengikhlaskan segala  sesuatu yang diambil oleh langit secara tiba-tiba , merasa KEHILANGAN . Ya , kehilangan yang teramat sangat menyakitkan sehingga membuat kita merasa bahwa langit tidak berpihak kepada kita . Langit sangat senang mengambil satu per satu kebahagiaan kita . Menguji kita . Menelantarkan dan meninggalkan kita . Semua hal itu yang akan menjadi penyebab munculnya pertanyaan di otak kita , apakah hidup ini adil ?

Hidup ini akan berjalan sesuai dengan apa yang kita putuskan . Hidup adalah keputusan . Dan semua itu kita sendiri yang putuskan . Keputusan setiap manusia berbeda-beda dan hal itu membuat suatu hubungan sebab-akibat bagi siklus kehidupan . Segala suatunya telah diatur oleh langit . Sudah di takdirkan . Tapi , siapa yang tahu kalau semua itu seperti  suatu jaringan yang saling terhubung antara manusia yang satu dengan yang lain . Yang menimbulkan suatu hubungan sebab – akibat . Keterhubungan ini pun sudah ditakdirkan oleh langit .

Tidak banyak yang tahu apa sebab-akibat dari setiap keputusan hidup yang akan diambilnya . Apa sebab akibat dari kehidupannya mungkin dia pikir selama ini biasa-biasa saja , tidak berguna,atau menyakitkan malah . Sejatinya  , dengan mengerti bahwa setiap potongan hidup itu penting maka seseorang tidak akan banyak bertanya tentang adil tidaknya hidup ini .

Kisah ini saya ambil dari sebuah novel karya Tere-Liye yang bertajuk Rembulan Tenggelam Di Wajahmu . Di dalamnya terdapat banyak sekali pesan-pesan dan pelajaran hidup . Semuanya menarik .Tapi di antara semuanya , yang paling menarik bagi saya adalah penggalan kisah kisah teladan yang disampaikan Tere-Liye untuk menyampikan pesan tersebut . Dan salah satunya adalah kisah Arab Tua Tidak Berguna .

Begini kisahnya . Dulu ada seorang Arab tua , renta , sakit-sakitan . Selama delapan puluh tahun Arab tua itu tinggal di Oase gurun . Kehidupan oase yang biasa-biasa saja. Bahkan baginya sama sekali tak berguna . Tidak berarti .

Berkali-kali dia bertanya kepada dirinya sendiri , buat apa hidupnya terlalu panjang kalau hanya untuk terjebak di oase itu  . Saat oase mulai mengering  , saat orang-orang mulai pindah , menyedihkan dia justru memaksakan diri bertahan . Mengutuk tubuh tuanya yang tidak bisa lagi diajak pergi . Benar-benar ke sia-sia an hidup .

Delapan puluh tahun percuma…Dia menjalani masa kanak-kanak sama seperti teman-temannya . Menjadi remaja yang tak bosan bicara cinta sama seperti remaja lainnya . Bekerja menjadi pandai besi. Menikah. Punya anak. Dan seterusnya.Sama seperti penduduk oase lainnya.Istrinya meninggal saat tubuhnya  beranjak tua , beberapa tahun kemudian anak-anaknya pergi ke kota-kota lain . Dan dia tertinggal. Sendirian ,hanya sibuk berteman dengan pertanyaan apa arti seluruh kehidupan yang dimilikinya .

Suatu hari serombongan caravan melintas  di puing-puing oase yang mongering. Mereka tiba persis saat Arab tua itu mati di rumah kecil dan buruknya. Lihatlah , hingga maut menjemput Arab tua itu tidak tahu apa sebab akibat hidupnya. Karavan itu tidak peduli,meneruskan perjalanan setelah mengisi penuh-penuh tempat air.Hanya satu yang peduli. Orang itu berbaik hati menguburkan Arab tua tersebut.

Tahukah kau ? Orang berbaik hati itu terselamatkan oleh pembantaian suku Badui , caravan bandit yang menguasai gurun . Karavan yang pergi lebih dulu itu ternyata binasa , tak  bersisa . Orang yang berbaik hati menguburkan Arab tua itu baru berjalan esok harinya,menemukan bangkai dan sisa-sisa pertempuran temannya saat meneruskan perjalanan .

Dan tahukah kau?lima generasi berikutnya dari orang yang berbaik hati itu ternyata lahir seorang manusia pilihan.Manusia pilihan yang orang-orang kelak menyebutnya al-amin….

Bukankah kita tidak tahu apa yang akan terjadi kalau Arab tua itu tidak meninggal hari itu, bukan?Orang baik itu juga ikut terbantai , bukan?Apakah yang akan terjadi dengan generasi kelima keturunan orang baik hati itu jika Arab tua itu tidak tinggal menyesali diri di Oase. Bagaimana dengan nasib pembawa risalah itu. Itulah sebab-akibat kehidupannya.Yang sayangnya dia tidakmengetahuinya hingga ajal menjemputnya.

Apakah cerita ini benar terjadi ? Tentu saja tidak.Tetapi mungkin saja bukan?Tidak ada yang tahu . Dari andai-andai itu setidaknya kau bisa membayangkan betapa hebatnya penjelasan sebab-akibat seharusnya bisa menuntun seseorang untuk selalu berbuat baik.

Nah , itulah sebabnya mengapa tidak semua orang mengerti apa sebab akibat hidupnya . Dengan tidak tahu ,maka mereka yang menyadari tidak ada yang sia-sia dalam kehidupan akan berbuat baik.Setiap keputusan yang akan mereka ambil , setiap kenyataan yang harus mereka hadapi,kejadian-kejadian menyakitkan, kejadian-kejadian menyenangkan,itu semua akan mereka sadari sebagai bagian dari siklus bola raksasa yang indah , yang akan menjadi sebab-akibat bagi orang lain.Dia akan selalu berharap perbuatannya akan berakibat baik kepada orang lain.

Ini bukan lah tentang  sejenis makanan yang sedikit manis banyak pahitnya dan banyak di gemari segala kalangan . Ya , ini tentu bukan cokelat untuk dimakan . Ini tentang warna , warna coklat .

Tas coklat . Sepatu coklat . Jaket  coklat . Kebanyakan barang-barang nya berwarna coklat .

Lihat saja , kalau sudah masuk di suatu pusat perbelanjaan atau tempat sejenis yang menawarkan berbagai variasi warna yang menggiurkan dan menggoda iman serta merangsang resleting dompet yang biarpun megap-megap isinya tapi  tetap saja masih kuat megap-megap nya  naluri belanja . Itulah naluri cewek  .

 Kembali ke warna . Banyak warna yang ditawarkan tapi tetap saja , secara refleks dan spontan , indra visual ini langsung jeli menyusuri , menerobos dengan buas serta mendeteksi memilah dan memilih barang apapun itu yang berwarna coklat  dengan cepat dan tepat . Seakan-akan  warna cokelat itu sudah ada GPS khusus nya yang terhubung langsung dengan mata . Jadi , kalau terdeteksi warna coklat ,prosesnya menjadi lebih cepat . Mulai dari pantulan cahaya yang dipancarkan dari benda coklat itu sendiri  kemudian  di terima secara sempurna oleh saraf visual dalam mata lalu diteruskan ke menuju sumsum tulang belakang maka jadilah suatu gerakan  refleks . Dan ketemu ! Itulah warna coklat .

Sebenarnya belum lama juga aku mengidap demam warna coklat kayak gini . Entah kenapa , setiap ada warna itu , bawaannya pengen memilikinya . Lebay juga sih , tapi aku bukanlah orang dengan tipe fantisme tingkat akut yang bisa heboh sendiri melihat apa yang dipujanya . Fanatik versi aku sendiri itu lebih ke perasaan , memuja – muji dalam hati , pokoknya fantik nya ke dalam dan nggak heboh di depan khalayak umum . Gila aja kalau harus heboh sendiri  di depan orang banyak setiap melihat warna coklat . Nggak kebayang kan berapa kali aku harus heboh menjerit-jerit atau bahkan nangis darah meronta – ronta demi memiliki tuh barang , secara kan banyak banget barang berwarna coklat di sekitar kita . Jadi kesimpulannya , kelebay-an dan kefanatic-an aku terhadap warna ini masih level rendah kok . Kelas teri .

Nulis-nulis , (Kalau pas ngomong ya pakai “ngomong-ngomong”  , berhubung ini lagi nulis , ya pakai “nulis-nulis” . Nalar kan ? Makanya kalau nulis tuh sesuai konteks ! ) apa istimewanya warna coklat ? Jangan tanya ke aku mengenai alasan kenapa aku suka coklat karena itu sudah tertanam di sini , di hati . Tapi menurut berbagai ilmu filsafat atau cara pandanag penilaian dan praduga lainnya , warna coklat itu memiliki kesan paling dekat dengan bumi , membumi , sehingga membuat kita semakin dekat .Coklat bisa menjadi sumber energy yang konstan serta membuat kita merasa kuat . Oh iya , yang menurut aku paling penting , warna ini mewakili  rasa aman ,kehangatan , komitmen dan kepercayaan (ehemm nyenggol dikit) . Coklat juga memberikan rasa hangat , nyaman , aman , dan kuat (daya tahan ) . Nah , kalau menurut ilmu Feng-Shui , warna coklat menggambarkan stabilitas dan bobot . Sifat positifnya kestabilan dan keanggunan sedangkan sifat negatifnya depresi dan penuaan #jlebb . Itu tadi kan secara kesan , nah kalau menurut indra visual aku sendiri , warna coklat itu kalem dan elegant sehingga cocok kalau digunakan baik pria maupun wanita . Tapi perlu diwaspadai juga , untuk masalah pemakaian aksesoris pada tubuh ( baju , jam , celana , dsb) warna ini kemungkinan akan lebih cocok lagi jika digunakan pada jenis kulit yang terang Karena jika digunakan pada kulit yang gelap , kesannya warna itu mati dan si pemakai juga tidak bisa lebih ditonjolkan .

Oke , ini tadi sekilas penilaian tentang warna yang aku gandrungi . Yang namanya penilaian , setiap orang berbeda-beda pastinya . Mungkin saja orang lain memiliki pandangan yang lain lagi terhadap warna ini dan sah-sah saja . Setiap orang memiliki pendapat dan cara pandang  yang bervariasi terhadap sesuatu . Bukankah penilaian sesorang terhadap sesuatu itu relative ?
